Internal Wall Finish
The internal finish of your building you will find traditionally plasterboarded, and then skimmed walls and ceiling. A professionally plastered interior always gives a warm, elegant surface finish and will also help with sound insulation, fire resistance and improved energy efficiency. As standard we fully plaster all our garden rooms and extensions, this is to give you a really homely finish that all you need to do is paint!
We do offer other internal wall finishes, including pre-fabricated interior boarding—so please do enquire if you want to find out the other options!
Flooring of your choice
As standard at GRL, we will fit a high quality oak engineered wooden flooring, which is easy to clean and very hard wearing. Alongside this to compliment the oak flooring, we will fit pre stained skirting boards making it the perfect internal finish for an outdoor garden building. We offer a wide range of different internal finishes from laminate floorings, carpets to wooden panelled walls – so please let us know what your preferred choice is as our garden rooms are fully customisable.
Cladding
All GRL Garden Rooms & Extensions include the Western Redwood Cedar cladding as standard. Over the past few decades Western Cedar has been one of the most desired external timber claddings due to its rich and variable colours, high resistance to decay, durability and natural preservatives. Western Redwood Cedar has always been one of natures more versatile, adaptable and attractive species of timber for external timber cladding. The rich, warm, brown, red and pink colours along with the texture, gives any building a touch of individuality that will blend into any environment. Western Redwood Cedar can be relied upon to give a long and maintenance free service under all conditions. Cedar is increasingly being specified for a more modern and contemporary appearance.
We offer a variety of other cladding such as ThermoWood, Pine, Larch, Oak, Aluminium, Concrete Board or U-PVC in a wide range of different colours.
